I was a first-time attender at the 2008 ACFW conference in September.
What a wonderful experience! The workshops were great, but I tell you connecting with other writers was the highlight
for me.
The awards banquet was a thrill! I got to meet some
terrific writers....and hopefully made some new friends. Here are a few of the mug shots. I was shameless!
#1~ Tamera Alexander was gracious and kind as I twisted her arm to pose with me. Her workshop was terrific.
#2~ Feature Speaker Angela Hunt was inspirational.
#3~ Here I am with my dear friend, Phyllis Nichols. We met last year
at Mt. Hermon and have become soul mates. Look for her first book, 'Carolina's Song' in the future.
It's a lovely, lovely story.
#4~ Does standing in the middle of writers Rene Gutteridge and Reb Raney make
me a groupie? These ladies rock!
#5~ Writer Becky Melby was such an encourager. Thank you, Becky, for your gentle presence.
#6~ Here I am with the lovely Patti Lacy. Patti's book, 'An
Irishwoman's Tale" has just hit the stores. It is a must read! Thank you, Patti, for all your encouragement!
